Simply Carillon

September 2nd was the final Carillon Concert for 2022 at Our Lady of Good Voyage Church in Gloucester. Today's concert featured Thomas Dort, Cynthia Cafasso-Donaldson and LuAnn Pallazola.

The cariilon has 31 bells and was designed and built by John Taylor Bell Foundry, Ltd. of Loughborough, England which still makes bells today. When installed at Our Lady's with 23 bells in 1922, it was the first modern attuned carillon in the United States. 8 more bells were installed in 1924.

Here are a selections of the Patriotic Pieces played on Friday.

Simply Clearing

The rain stopped, the clouds began to clear and the Lannon raised her sails.

One of the benefits of living in Gloucester is that once the clouds begin to clear, the harbor is only a short walk away!

Another hidden treasure can be found in this small park just off Lookout Street. The best views are available in the fall when the trees drop some of their leaves.

Lookout! Ten Pound Island below!

Our Lady of Good Voyage and Holy Family are off in this direction!

Simply Nice That The Rain Stopped!
