Simply Nelson (Part 1)

The eleventh annual Nelson’s Ride was held August 22nd and is an annual slow motorcycle ride in memory of Nelson Selig Sr., 37, of Essex, who was killed in May 2000 in Ipswich when a 19-year-old driver crossed into his lane, striking Selig’s motorcycle.

The annual fundraiser began in August 2000 to raise money for Selig’s two children to attend college; that goal has been reached, and at the family’s request, the event now raises money for other Essex County families of riders killed in accidents.

See the Massachusetts Motorcyclists Survivor’s Fund for more information.

More photos are available at Simply Nelson (Part 2).
