Simply Dolphin' Around

On our trip with the 7 Seas WhaleWatch Privateer IV on August 3rd, we encountered a pod of Atlantic White-Sided Dolphins. They playfully put on a show for us, darting around and under the boat for quite a while.

More information about the Atlantic White-Sided Dolphin can be found at NOAA Fisheries.

Simply A Whale Of A Time

Wednesday, August 3rd was a beautiful day to be on the 7 Seas WhaleWatch Privateer IV. Temperatures on land were soaring into the 90s while the open water had us about 15 degrees cooler. Seas were very gentle.

After searching for more than an hour, we encountered this beautiful Fin Whale. The fin whale is the second-largest whale species on earth, second only to the blue whale. More information about the Fin Whale can be found at NOAA Fisheries.
